Noah's upper GI test did not show anything. While that is good it is also frustrating as we still have no answers as to why he is vomiting so much. We have an appointment Wednesday with the GI Clinic and a swallow study scheduled for Jonah before the clinic. It will be interesting to see what they have to say this week and if they plan to try medication for Noah's delayed emptying issue.
We have been blessed to have my cousins Bonnie and Carrie out to help with the boys. Carrie gave us a break Thursday to go shopping and Friday watched Jonah as Bonnie and I took Noah down to Fresno for his test.
Noah has started saying "Da da da da"!!! How exciting. He is a chatter box and just this morning started finally saying "Da da da da." Shane was so excited.
Jonah is also making progress and giggles and chatters at us more and more each day.
Also, it is probably time that we announce.....we are MOVING! The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and is near all the good schools of Bakersfield. It is coming with a lot of work but we got such a good deal on it that we figured we can spend a little more fixing it up and in the end we are very lucky and blessed. I do have to say the projects keep extending and the painting that was supposed to take a week has turned in to over two weeks as we decided to completely take out a wall downstairs and open the front room and kitchen. We are doing half of the labor on our own to save expenses but boy can it be frustrating. I keep hoping we make it in before Thanksgiving!
So that is what's new in the Hanna home.

Congrats on the new home and all the chattering and talking the boys are doing.
Reading through your posts (especially in the context of our most recent vomit fest---three days and counting---brought back everything we felt this time last year (and the year before that, for that matter). We've really been there and done that---Upper GIs that show nothing, scopes, swallow studies, repeated visits to the ER for suspected dehydration. Oh, yeah, the exhaustion and the stress. Can't forget those.
Anyway, I hope you guys can figure this out (faster than we did, or are doing, really). I don't know what the answer is, in the long run, to our little kids who cannot eat without it causing pain (and now that Hallie is 2.5, she is freaked out by her vomiting. In part she's reacting to our reaction, but in part I think she realizes it's gross. Makes me really sad).
In any event, I don't have huge words of wisdom, but tons of empathy for you guys. And I guess my only tiny little bit of wisdom is to start thinking of Noah's situation as a really complex puzzle with so many pieces and so little form (and since doctors don't see kids like ours terribly often, little guidance from the medical profession as to how to solve the darned thing). But with good parenting (and your boys certainly have that going for them), you'll begin to figure out little pieces (like we did) and then get some more pieces. The big question that I have is whether we ever put the whole thing together (I had many 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles as a kid that I never quite finished). But even if you can take little steps to solving this thing, you'll feel quite a bit of relief (and so will Noah).
Wow! That's great!! Congrats on the new house! And good luck getting it all fixed up quickly...that can be such a hassle...especially when you've got kids to look after all the time. It will be worth it though, I'm sure! :)
